WONDERING ABOUT
YOUR PERFECT MATE?!?
Waiting (or Searching!) for the "Ideal Mate" has long been one of life's great obsessions!
If we are honest with ourselves, at some point in all of our lives, we yearn for that
complete union with another individual. Even the great mystics must succumb to the
insatiable need to be in union. For those individuals, it comes in it's highest form
- as a magnificent obsession to be in Union with Our Father/Mother God.
However, for most of us, it more often appears in a more mundane three dimensional form.
We have
a deep desire to develop a long lasting union with another. Many of us have experienced at
least one disappointing relationship. Some of us even seem to have a special knack for
finding "the wrong one -- again!" We all deserve positive and lasting relationships
in our lives and using astrology can help take some of the mystery out of the "Great
Search".
Of course, relationships go much deeper than comparing Sun Signs and basic astrological
aspects. It is misleading and an oversimplification to assume that because your Scorpio
Sun Sign squares the other person's Aquarius Sun Sign the ensuing relationship is doomed!
In reality, you may discover, to your great surprise, that the Aquarius Sun person
actually ends up being the perfect one to help balance your Scorpio Sun and all your
other astrological aspects. All the planets and aspects in the Birth (Natal) Chart
are important in helping to manifest "Your Perfect Mate".
However, certain planets are more DOMINANT than others. Among them, Venus and Mars are
extremely important. They represent the feminine and masculine energies that exist in each
of us. Astrology Relationship Comparison (Compatibility's) often give EQUAL IMPORTANCE TO
THESE TWO MAJOR PLANETS IN BOTH CHARTS.
The Sun is the natural ruler of the 5th House and gives us indications of how effectively
we magnetize romantic relationships into our lives. We also compare the other individual's
Venus, Mars, Moon, Uranus, Saturn and Pluto. Plus, Saturn (everyone's favorite little
planet) is the exalted ruler of Libra and the 7th House energy and represents the House
of Marriage or Union (Yoga). That means that a positive 7th House Relationship between
two individuals is an Essential Element for a stable, fulfilling relationship whether it
involves marriage or not! It's getting more complex by the minute, huh?!?
If we focus on the DOMINANT ENERGIES that are present in a person's Birth (Natal) Chart,
regardless of their Sun Sign, we discover a pattern. So - "George" with his Virgo Sun and
four planets in Sagittarius is going to reflect more of Sagittarius with an outgoing
personality and a sense of adventure. While "Catherine", who has a Sagittarius Sun and 3
planets in Capricorn and 1 planet in Virgo, fears to tread where George plunges forward!
Remember, it's not the Sun Sign that counts, but the combined energy and influence in each
chart that is the indicator of a successful relationship.
So, let's take a closer look at the impact that the DOMINANT ENERGIES coming from
several different planets in someone's Chart can have on a possible relationship:
A Birth (Natal) Chart with THREE or MORE DOMINANT PLANETS in:
• ARIES
This person's relationship requires high energy, enthusiasm and action. They may display
a degree of competitiveness and conflict. Their communications are strong and their partner
usually knows where they stand in the relationship. Often acting impulsively, there can be
a tendency for hurt feelings with their mate. They usually yearn for someone who will
share their goals of success.

• TAURUS
This individual requires a relationship based on financial and personal security. They may
desire material success above all else, and be willing to sacrifice the closeness of their
relationship in order to obtain it. They often seek out a partner for their physical beauty,
passion and refinement. They seek to have a strong and affectionate bond with their mate. They may allow their stubbornness to interfere with their ability to communicate effectively in their relationship.
